My First Time at Bacchus Marsh Motocross Track December 15, 2011
Posted by Liam in : Uncategorized , 4 commentsMy first time at………
Wednesday night, the 14th of December was my first time riding the track at Bacchus Marsh Motocross Track. It is a bit of a tricky track.
To ride at the track you need to be a member. Here is a link to their website click here
The club have rules for who can be on the track at any one time. When there is a blue light the bigger bikes go on. When the light is red it is time for the little bikes, like mine. Some of the big guys went on the track when it was my turn.
At the end of the session I was going really fast, I felt like I was going as fast as the big guys. I had a lot of fun jumping over the jumps all along the track.
I met another boy there, his name is Jaiden. We had a lot of fun riding the track together, it is more fun when you have someone to ride with. Jaiden was really friendly, and I hope to see more of him at the track.
Here are some photos of Jaiden and I.
Here I am jumping
Here is Jaiden.
What do you think of the photos?
Do you have a dirt bike?
The History of Barrabool MX Park December 7, 2011
Posted by Liam in : Uncategorized , 4 commentsHi, my name is Liam and I am in 2KM. Today I am going to tell you about McAdam Park, Barrabool. I wrote this post with my mum and my dad.
My family and I live on a suburban house block, with no space to ride my motorbike. McAdam Park is a motorcycle park comprising junior motocross track, a full sized motocross track and trials terrain. When I want to ride my motor bike, I can go to McAdam Park.

The Sporting Motorcycle Club of Geelong (SMCC) has had use of the land at Barrabool since 1962, thanks to the generosity of motorcycling enthusiast, the late Clive McAdam, who passed away in March 2002.
Since the early 1960s there have been many local and national Motocross events held at the McAdam Park.
This is an aerial photo of the Barrabool track used for the Oceania Motocross Championship in 2005.
As well as a venue for major and community events, McAdam Park offers motorcycle riders with a safe place to ride. On ride days there is always a qualified first aid officer on site.
McAdam Park also plays an important role in helping young riders gain skills needed to ride motorcycles in a safe and responsible manner.
In 2009, McAdam Park was to be sold but offered first to the SMCC, Clive McAdam’s and his families’ wishes. The club managed to lobby state and local governments to raise enough money to buy one of three blocks. With extra money from Motorcycling Australia, the State Government and the Surf Coast Shire the land at McAdam Park was saved.
This is the Big Picture Wall, showing the names of people and businesses that gave money to help save McAdam Park. My name is on one of the tiles near the top.
I like to ride at McAdam Park, it gives every rider the chance to ride on a motocross track. The Barrabool track is a lot of fun to ride on. The first time I ever rode at McAdam Park was on the junior track with my PeeWee 50. It was a lot of fun.
The Junior track is a great place for children to learn the basics of motocross riding. After a lot of practice hours, I decided I should try to ride around the big track on my PeeWee50. I had another rider spot follow me on my first go. It was a little scary, but I did it.
I got interested in motorbikes because my parents bought me a PeeWee 50 for my third birthday. My parents also bought me all the safety gear, such as a helmet, knee and elbow pads and clothing. We even fitted training wheels for my first year or so of riding. One time I was riding my bike around our backyard on my PeeWee 50 and I ran into our trampoline. My chest hit the pole and it hurt a lot. This is why it is good to have a facility like McAdam Park.
I love the Barrabool track because the other riders will give you a challenge. If the track is wet it is even more challenging. I currently ride a KTM 65cc dirt bike around the track.
Practising my starts.
Look at me fly!

Thanks for reading my post about McAdam Park, see you at the track soon!
Have you ever riden a dirt bike or a quad bike?
Do you have a dirt bike?

My First Time Playing For The Try Boys November 21, 2011
Posted by Liam in : Uncategorized , 12 commentsI’m so happy today because I have joined Try Boys (basketball team). I want to play like Kobe Bryant.
Here is a photo of Kobe Bryant.
Kobe Bryant plays basketball for the LA Lakers. I have a blogging buddy over in LA Mrs Yollis. Mrs Yollis likes blogging.
At my first basketball game, I was the first one on the bench with Billy and Tom. When I went out on the basketball court I played with high intencity. I scored the first two points. All of the other team where scared of me because they thought I was going to crush them when I went to rebound. It was half time and the coach said good work guys. We got to shoot ten shots. We got 5 points for them. Now we were on 7 ponits. Our opponents were on 5 ponits. In the last quarter I scored two more points. I also dribbled the ball down the court on a fast break, avoiding two of my opponents who were trying to steal the ball off me and passed the ball to team mate Tom who scored easily. The buzzer sounded, we won. The score was 5 to 23.
Have you ever played basketball?
What was the score?
Have you ever seen Kobe Bryant play before?
My Trip to Mildura for the Victorian Dirt Track Nationals November 7, 2011
Posted by Liam in : Uncategorized , 17 commentsMy family and I went to Mildura so I could race in the Victorian Dirt Track Titles. On my trip up to Mildura I went to sleep because we left at 12:30am we arrived in Mildura at 7:20 am. I had breakfast next to “Big Lizzie”. Big Lizzie is an old steam engine which was used to carry lots of wood and grain in Mildura.
The racing started at 12:30 am. While I was waiting for my turn I was listening to music on my ipod. I was in the U7-U9 65cc class. It was a lot of fun on my dirt bike in the 65cc class. My fastest lap was 42.3 seconds. The fastest person in my class did a lap in 30.2 seconds.
There was a practice for everybody who was entered in a class. I had a ice-cream after my first race. My Mum and my little brother, Ryan went to our cabin while Dad and I stayed back at the track so I could race.
I stalled my dirt bike at the start gate in the second race. It was a fun race because I didn’t came last place. One of the other kids stalled their dirt bike on the start line like me.
In my third race I did my first mono off the start line. I did my best but I got lapped by the other riders in my group. I was going around the corners in 4th gear.
In my 4th race I crashed. I was speeding through the dog leg when I fell off in the second corner. The bike slid out from under me. The First Aid ambulance came and picked me up because I hurt my arm.
Here I am in the First Aid ambiance where the ambulance officers are putting a band aid on my arm.

Have you ever had a crash?
Did you hurt yourself?
What did you hurt?
